Drivers Desk Bergen op Zoom

We are looking for an employee for the Drivers Desk at our customer Bergen op Zoom, which coordinates incoming and outgoing trucks. You ensure accurate transport planning, maintain contact with the shunter team, and register journeys correctly.

About this position

As an employee of the Drivers Desk at our valued customer Bergen op Zoom you are responsible for the coordination of all incoming and outgoing trucks. You ensure that the transport planning is followed accurately and that the right trailers and containers are at the right docks on time. You work according to the Yard Management rules and procedures and maintain close contact with the shunter team to ensure efficient flow. You also ensure that the statuses of journeys are entered correctly into the system and that the necessary paperwork for loading and unloading is available.

You play a crucial role in maintaining order and discipline on site by ensuring that drivers behave correctly. In addition to handling departing journeys, including providing the correct documents to the drivers, you contribute to achieving high customer satisfaction. You do this by maintaining good relationships with customers, suppliers, partners, carriers and internal departments. Your contribution is essential for the smooth running of all transport activities on our site.

You are also responsible for compliance with procedures and instructions in the field of food safety, HACCP, Arbo, Safety, Environment and Quality. In this position you report to the Operations Manager and work closely with your colleagues from the Drivers Desk and the Customer Service department to ensure that operations run smoothly. You replace and are replaced by direct colleagues when necessary, so that the continuity of the work is always guaranteed.

Your tasks include:

• Coordinating all incoming and outgoing trucks, ensuring that the transport planning is followed accurately and the right trailers and containers are at the right docks on time.
• Maintaining order and discipline on site by ensuring that drivers behave appropriately and handling departing journeys, including providing the correct documents to the drivers.
• Work closely with the shunter crew to ensure efficient flow, and ensure that trip statuses are correctly entered into the system and that the necessary paperwork for loading and unloading is available.
• Ensuring compliance with procedures and instructions in the areas of food safety, HACCP, Occupational Health and Safety, Safety, Environment and Quality, and maintaining good relationships with customers, suppliers, partners, carriers and internal departments to achieve high customer satisfaction.

• An attractive salary between € 2.400 and € 2.800 gross per month, depending on experience;

What do we expect from you as a driver desk?

We expect you to:

• Have gained experience in logistics or have completed a relevant training course.
• Have knowledge of warehouse systems and administrative systems that occur here.
